A home away from home. That's what London will be for my wife from now on. She's writing a new page in her career as a registered nurse by taking up a position at the Great Ormond Street Hospital. The thick of it is that I'll be living in Portugal with our young daughter for the time being. Since she'll be doing most of the traveling, the first sentence seems like a perfect fit for her life style from now on.

Social networks can be a blessing for information hungry people like myself. When Google announced that Reader was going to be buried six feet under, I couldn't have cared less. Twitter and Google Plus had been my news feeds for some time and, as an added bonus, I was able to follow some pretty interesting people that could be considered experts in their fields.

After months of hesitation (due to both work and personal issues), I finally went ahead and created this modest web site. It was the perfect excuse to have a crack at WordPress, since the goal was to roll out its first version in the smallest possible time frame. It'll surely go through some changes in the near future (structure, content and presentation wise) as I explore what WordPress has to offer and come to terms with the kind of content I want to share.
